Job summary

Buffey Elementary is seeking a part-time early childhood position with duties centered on supporting student growth on school days. Employment is contingent on grant funding and guidelines, with compensation ranging based on qualifications, and up to 37.5 hours per week.

Preferred candidates will have or be willing to obtain a CDA or Associate in Early Childhood and follow LARA licensing guidelines for childcare centers. Strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Prefer to have obtained or willingness to obtain a CDA or Associate in Early Childhood
• Follow LARA licensing guidelines for childcare centers
• Knowledge of state licensing, TS Gold (Smart Teach), Creative Curriculum, High Scope preferred
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding all students
• Demonstrate ability and stamina to meet job requirements
• Participate in training pertinent to the position
• Regular attendance and punctuality required
• Passionate about education of young students

• Previous knowledge in state licensing, TS Gold (Smart Teach), Creative Curriculum, High Scope, etc. preferred

• Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of this position
• Participate in training pertinent to the assigned position

• Previous experience preferred
