• Experience with preschool or young children preferred.

• Ability to follow directions and cooperate with staff.
• Must meet applicable employment requirements.

• Supervise GSRP students during lunch, recess, and noon-hour activities.
• Assist students with opening food items, cleaning up, and mealtime routines.
• Monitor students to promote safety and positive behavior.
• Support students with transitions between classroom, cafeteria, playground, and other designated areas.
• Encourage independence, appropriate social interaction, and respectful behavior.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly lunch and activity area.
• Follow established procedures regarding student health, safety, allergies, and dietary needs.
• Communicate student concerns, incidents, or unusual situations to the classroom teacher or appropriate school staff.
• Follow GSRP, school, and Leona Michigan Education Group policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move throughout assigned areas while supervising young

children. The position may require assisting students and lifting or moving materials typically used in a preschool

setting.
