Job summary

M1 Global is seeking a GSOC Operator to monitor CCTV, access control and alarm panels at a San Mateo location. You’ll document daily activity, respond quickly to incidents and maintain strong situational awareness while delivering professional visitor service.

We offer weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a 401(k) program. The role is non-exempt, requires a high school diploma, and includes training in security systems with opportunities to grow within a fast‑moving security services team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year experience in SOC (Security Operations Center).
• Must have valid/active Security Guard Card BSIS.
• Able to sit and stand for 8 hours.
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned workstations.
• CPR, First AID, AED card or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control panels and document activity daily.
• Observe and report on activities at the assigned location.
• Respond rapidly in critical situations.
• Maintain situational awareness and assess potential threats.
• Provide excellent customer service and interact professionally with visitors and employees.

Your Responsibilities:

• Monitor CCTV Camera Systemand accurately document activity in a daily report
• Observe, Survey, and Reporton activities at your assigned location
• Respond Rapidly in critical situations

• Proficiency in using security systems (CCTV, access control, alarm panels).
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with visitors and employees.

• Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations and emergencies.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods, conducting patrols, and responding quickly to security incidents.

Visitor Management & Access Control

• Greet and verify visitor identity upon arrival.
• Utilize a visitor management system to check guests in and out.
• Issue visitor badges and provide appropriate directions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed visitor logs.
• Enforce security policies to prevent unauthorized access.

Security & Surveillance

• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems (fire/intrusion), and access control panels for any irregularities.
• Conduct security patrols and inspect assigned areas to ensure a safe environment.
• Identify potential security risks and mitigate them before escalation.
• Maintain communication with the on-site security team and operational staff.
• Report any security breaches, suspicious activities, or safety concerns to Metro One leadership.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, including fire drills and evacuation procedures.
• Provide immediate support during medical emergencies, fires, and security threats.

Communication & Customer Service

• Answer calls and inquiries with professional etiquette.
• Educate visitors and employees on security protocols and policies.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while ensuring safety procedures are followed.
