Job summary

Google Inc. in Boulder, CO is seeking a GSOC Operational Support Team Associate at Mid level. The role focuses on incident management, threat triage, and cross-functional coordination to support the Google Security Operations Center (GSOC).

  • 4 years of experience in law enforcement, intelligence or a military role or equivalent private sector experience.
  • Experience with security technologies including CCTV, access control, and incident management systems.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for incident management, response and support. Manage sensitive, escalated, higher priority tasks. Provide escalation support for GSOC vendor operators. Provide escalation support to the network of global security service centers.
  • Manage email monitoring, response and assignment. Manage ticket monitoring and assignment. Collect, evaluate, upscale and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood.
  • Provide intelligence support to the Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) in incident response, crisis management and global travel management. Create GSOC incident report writing in line with existing GSOC processes (higher risk incidents).
  • Provide global coverage when needed. Provide supervisor backup coverage (when no supervisor is on shift/available) when needed.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Holds an active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification with proven experience applying drone/UAS solutions to enterprise security operations.
  • Past experience in dynamic, high-stakes environments remaining calm, empathetic, and professional while triaging urgent incidents and adapting quickly to fluid priorities.
  • Can make rapid, sound decisions under pressure; maintains clear cross-functional communication and delivers concise, accurate operational reports via digital and written channels.
  • Applies strong analytical thinking and geopolitical risk awareness to monitor emerging threats and evaluate complex enterprise security scenarios.
  • Upholds strict confidentiality and high ethical standards, exercising excellent judgment, diplomacy, and tact with sensitive information.
About the job

Within GSRS, The Operational Support Team (OST) serves as the primary GSOC (Google Security Operations Center) team for threat intake and triage. This role bridges the gap between frontline security operations and GSOC leadership, handling high-priority incidents, evaluating threat intelligence, and ensuring a seamless response.

From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive incidents and crises, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS, you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop exceptional programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $105000 - $151000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
