Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA seeks engineers to support New Glenn test and GSE development. You will design tooling, create CAD models and drawings, and manage Windchill workflows for ground testing and integration.

Responsibilities include developing test fixtures, reviewing fabrication drawings, and coordinating with vendors. A strong CAD background, ASME knowledge, and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical/structural engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing GSE for launch or aircraft support systems.
• Strong 3-D CAD design and integration skills.
• Familiar with ASME Y14.100/Y14.5/Y14.41 standards.
• Experience with vendors during tooling design and fabrication.
• Independent, reliable, and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed design of test GSE, tooling and fixtures.
• Create test assembly and setup models for validation.
• Produce and review drawing packages for fabrication and assembly.
• Develop design specs and statements of work for tooling development.
• Evaluate and approve designs and analyses by others.
• Support fabrication, installation, verification, checkout and commissioning.
• Participate in cost estimates, vendor evaluation, and cost-reduction efforts.
• Provide guidance on tooling use to test personnel and teams.
• Deliver additional tooling support as needed and manage schedules/budgets.
