Job summary

UPS is seeking a qualified Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician in Anchorage to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on UPS GSE systems, including engines, hydraulics, brakes and electricals.

You will diagnose issues using test equipment and manuals, repair components, and test equipment performance while maintaining accurate records and complying with safety protocols and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and repairs on Ground Support Equipment (gas/diesel engines, hydraulic and air brake systems, electrical systems).
• Ability to diagnose issues using test equipment and manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and preventive maintenance on Ground Support Equipment to ensure safety and performance.
• Diagnose, repair or replace components using tests and manuals.
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment.
• Document repairs, parts and labor in the system.
