Job summary

Stoke Space seeks an experienced GSE Mechanisms Engineer for our Cape Canaveral launch complex. You will design, build, test, and support mechanisms used in Launch Operations, working with engineers, technicians, and vendors to ensure high cadence and reliability for the Nova vehicle.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years designing large mechanisms, a relevant engineering degree, and a solid background in CAD and FEM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or related field.
• 3+ years designing, building, testing large mechanisms.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and configuration control software.
• Familiarity with hydraulics and pressurized systems.
• Ability to relocate to Cape Canaveral, FL.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, test, and support operations for mechanisms for Launch Operations.
• Coordinate fabrication, preparation, testing, and installation of GSE at Launch Site with REs, technicians, and vendors/contractors.
• Collaborate with Nova Vehicle Engineers to establish requirements and interfaces.
• Collaborate with other GSE disciplines for an integrated design.
• Generate, execute, and maintain workflow documentation.
