Job summary

Hawaiian Airlines in Honolulu is hiring a GSE Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair ground support equipment, including electrical & hydraulic systems, transmissions, and associated machinery.

Position requires 1+ year in automotive or related field, welding and auto body knowledge, diesel engine experience, and a valid US driver's license. You must be able to lift 50 lbs and obtain airport security clearance. This is a union represented role.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience in automotive or related field.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic systems and automatic transmissions.
• General welding knowledge.
• General auto body and paint knowledge.
• Diesel engine knowledge and repair experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.
• Valid, unexpired driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18; authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, hydraulic systems and transmissions on ground equipment.
• Repair ground equipment such as FMC container loaders, ground power units, hydrant fuelers, tanker trucks and forklifts.
• Overhaul automatic transmissions.
• Repair parts and fabricate as necessary.
