The role includes administrative duties for GSE maintenance and requires the ability to work in physically demanding conditions, read schematics, and uphold safety standards while minimizing downtime across operations. This position is full-time and based on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school preferred.
• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance; knowledge of hydraulic systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to obtain airport security badge and possess a Government ID.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic to assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing airport ground support equipment, including tugs, belt loaders, power units, and other specialized machinery. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of equipment critical to airport and airline operations. This individual will also be responsible for administrative tasks dealing with GSE maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on ground support equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts and ensure proper equipment functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Respond promptly to service requests and emergency breakdowns.
• Collaborate with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.

• Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
• A ble to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
• Able to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
• Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
• Must be able to work in cramped or high places.
• Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs.
