Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a GSE Mechanic at Seattle International Airport to repair and rebuild airport service vehicles, including fuel, hydraulic and electrical systems. You will inspect parts, perform repairs, and ensure equipment is safe for operation.

You will work with a team to conduct routine maintenance, QC checks, and drive refueling equipment vehicles, ensuring minimal downtime for aircraft services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Airports and Custom badges/seals.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.

• Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment, maintain records relating to maintenance.
• Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.
• Ensure aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment, following health, safety, and security policies.

As member of the Menzies Aviation Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic team you will be responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. You will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Role Purpose

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include but are not limited to support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols.
