Job summary

ALVEST Equipment Services (AES) is hiring a GSE Mechanic in Windsor Locks, CT. You will maintain and repair ground support equipment such as tow tractors, belt loaders, and deicers, using your skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.

The role requires 1–4 years of related experience, ASE certification preferred, and the ability to document work in MIS while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years' experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or HVAC systems.
• Diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment repair background.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and computer proficiency.
• Must provide own hand tools and be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S.
• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Use MIS to document all repairs.
• Follow OSHA/EPA safety and regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement and training opportunities.

ADDITIONAL INCENTIVES

AS A GSE MECHANIC

You'll maintain and repair various ground support equipment (GSE), including tow tractors, belt loaders, pushback tractors, deicers, and more. You'll troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems and ensure proper documentation, safety, and quality standards are met.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Use Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) to document all repairs
• Follow safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA)
• Participate in continuous improvement and training opportunities

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• 1-4 years' experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or HVAC systems
• Diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment repair background
• Strong troubleshooting skills and computer proficiency
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
• Must provide own hand tools
• Must be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., and possess a valid driver's license
• Team player with the ability to work independently

NICE TO HAVE CERTIFICATIONS

• Med/Heavy Truck or Light TruckAutomotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.
