Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation seeks a General Description: GSE Mechanic to maintain a diverse fleet of Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE, GSE) at Marine Corps Air Station New River, NC. You will follow procedures for ordering, receiving, issuing, maintaining and inventorying equipment, and handle HAZMAT duties per SDS guidelines.

You will perform maintenance and repair, inspect GSE, and schedule periodic maintenance, while adhering to FOD prevention and tool control rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with practical GSE knowledge.
• Familiarity with GSE publications and maintenance procedures.
• MATMEP Level III / T&R 3000 or higher preferred within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Government furnished tool inventories and property.
• Issues and returns tools; tracks parts and logs repairs.
• Reads repair manuals and troubleshoots vehicle and equipment issues.
• Schedules periodic maintenance for GSE and ground support equipment.
• Operates hand and power tools to repair GSE; maintains a clean, safe area.
