Job summary

Tyonek Native Corp seeks a GSE Mechanic to maintain a diverse fleet of Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE, GSE). The role follows written procedures for ordering, receiving, issuing, maintaining, and inventorying equipment, and requires familiarity with HAZMAT procedures, SDS sheets, and turn-in procedures.

The position entails maintenance and repair of all GSE, inspection of equipment, troubleshooting issues, and scheduling periodic maintenance at MCAS New River, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years of GSE maintenance experience.
• Familiar with GSE maintenance publications and procedures.
• Ability to learn NALCOMIS OOMA within 90 days.
• MATMEP Level III / TR 3000 or higher within 90 days.
• Preferred: towing and related tow equipment qualifications.
• Must be a US Citizen; drug-free workplace.

Education / Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of four (4) years of GSE maintenance experience
• Familiar with all publications relevant to the maintenance of the GSE appropriate to the assignment and have a thorough practical and theoretical knowledge of the equipment/systems.
• Possess a thorough understanding or become familiar and proficient with NALCOMIS OOMA automated maintenance documentation system within 90 days of employment.
• MATMEP Level III / T &R level 3000 (applicable systems) or greater for GSE, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Preferred additional qualifications: Towing; A/M42-2A Light Cart; A/S32A-45 Tow Tractor; Flight Line Utility Vehicles.
• Must be a US Citizen
