Job summary

X-energy LLC is seeking an Associate II on the Growth & Strategy team to shape the company’s corporate strategy and growth initiatives. You will work with leadership to evaluate new markets, partnerships, and potential acquisitions, translating engineering, commercial, and financial perspectives to drive strategic decisions.

You will have direct exposure to leadership, ownership of strategic projects, and visibility with the Board, requiring entrepreneurial thinking and bias toward action.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• 3–4 years' experience in investment banking, project finance, consulting, infrastructure private equity, or a capital-intensive operating company.
• Strong PowerPoint skills expected.
• Strong Excel modeling skills, with the ability to build from scratch and run sensitivity analyses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis to contribute to the team's views on corporate development opportunities and strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to surface solutions and execution plans for projects.
• Support strategy development and create presentations and processes aligned with long-term goals.
• Develop and evolve financial models across infrastructure and energy investments for long-term decisions.
• Prepare materials for meetings with executives, board members, and investors.
• Build cogent financial models in Excel and concise PowerPoint presentations.
• Drive alignment across clients, executives, engineers, and commercial teams.
