Job summary

Addison Group in Wichita, KS is hiring an Assistant Controller to join a high-growth energy group. This hands-on role supports day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting, with exposure across entities and opportunities to grow as the business scales.

You will handle joint interest billing and revenue accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and analysis, collaborating with the Controller to improve processes and support new investments. Office-based, with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least three years of E&P accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of JIB, revenue accounting, and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and research skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Flexible, hands-on approach and willingness to assist wherever needed.
• Comfortable working fully in office.

Responsibilities

• Support joint interest billing and revenue accounting
• Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end close
• Enter invoices and maintain accurate accounting records
• Complete account and bank reconciliations
• Analyze financial statements and investigate variances
• Assist with owner relations and related accounting questions
• Conduct research and support special accounting projects
• Work across multiple operating and investment entities
• Partner closely with the Controller on daily accounting operations and process improvements
