Job summary

Discord is seeking a Product Designer to join Growth and help shape how people find, set up, and stay connected with Discord. You will own end-to-end Growth initiatives across notifications, onboarding, off-platform surfaces, and web experiences, collaborating with PMs, eng, research, and data science to craft cohesive, delightful product experiences.

The role requires 3+ years of product design, strong visual and interaction design, high proficiency in Figma, and a bias toward action.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product design experience designing consumer-facing digital products.
• Strong visual design foundation with typography, color, hierarchy and composition.
• Solid interaction design skills for multi-step experiences.
• High proficiency with Figma and prototyping tools.
• Experience shipping products collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Ownership mindset with a bias toward action.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end initiatives across Growth across platforms — designing across iOS, Android, Desktop, Web.
• Design with high craft and velocity by creating production-ready specs and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Influence scope and strategy with PMs, engineering leads, and cross-functional teammates.
• Use data and research to inform decisions with research and data science teams.
• Think in systems to create cohesive discovery, onboarding, and re-engagement experiences.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders and teammates.
• Drive projects autonomously and manage time and blockers.
