Job summary

Investor Group in Chicago seeks an Associate on the Portfolio Services & Commercial Excellence team to design and build analytical workstreams, run AI-enabled models, validate outputs, and create data-driven client deliverables. You’ll collaborate with Consultants to translate analysis into client-ready content and contribute to GTM, pricing, and growth strategies across industries.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree is required in economics, business, finance or quantitative field.

• Prior consulting or portfolio operations internship is a plus.
• Strong academic record GPA 3.5+ preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python, SQL, or BI tools a plus.
• Exceptional research and analytical experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize insights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market assessments, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis to inform client strategies
• Design and implementing sales and marketing alignment plans, channel strategies, and customer engagement models
• Own analytical workstreams and translating findings into client-ready slide content with Consultants
• Collect, procure and organize data inputs for AI-based models and quantitative analysis
• Run key analytics and AI models; validate outputs for accuracy and quality
• Maintain structured data documentation and version control for analytical assets
• Build charts, visualizations, and data exhibits to clearly communicate findings
• Quality validate analytical work before submission up the project chain
• Develop CE domain knowledge through project exposure and self-directed learning
• Partner with client C-suite teams, with opportunities to present findings and drive change
• Work in a dynamic and hybrid environment
• Travel-lite: Chicago-based with light travel 1-2 times per month
