Markey's in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an ambitious Business Development Specialist to drive new business regionally and nationally, with a strong emphasis on state and national associations. You will build relationships with potential clients and collaborate with marketing and national account managers to create proposals and identify opportunities for growth.

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Business Development/VP of Hotel Partnerships.

Qualificações

• 2 years of experience in client sales, business development, or hospitality industry preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional appearance.
• Present excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Clean driving record and be insurable on the Markey’s company vehicle.

Responsabilidades

• Prospect leads via internet, LinkedIn, print, and trade publications.
• Engage in outreach through daily phone calls, email solicitations, in-person meetings, and social selling.
• Maintain prospect files and track activity; follow up on proposals.
• Attend industry events and expand the company\'s professional network.
• Partner with marketing and account teams to develop proposals.
