Job summary

Kimmel & Associates is seeking a Vice President of Operations for an established architectural millwork and commercial casework manufacturer. The role leads daily operations across PM, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, delivery, and installation, reporting to the President.

The ideal candidate has engineered-to-order manufacturing expertise and strong P&L management. The position offers executive-level responsibility to improve margins, scale growth, and implement ERP systems such as

Qualifications

• Experience leading multiple operational functions including PM, engineering, production and field execution.
• Strong understanding of engineered-to-order manufacturing and project coordination from engineering to installation.
• Proven ability to improve manufacturing throughput, capacity utilization, schedule performance, quality, and profitability.
• Experience implementing or improving ERP, manufacturing, or project management systems.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate performance data into operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across project management, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, delivery, and installation.
• Improve project execution from award through closeout with focus on scheduling, cost control, change orders, risk management, and profitability.
• Strengthen workflows between engineering and manufacturing and reduce rework from incomplete information or handoffs.
• Increase throughput, capacity planning, and schedule reliability while protecting margins.
• Develop leadership and accountability across the organization and build a capable leadership team.
• Partner with President and Finance to improve gross margins and project profitability.
• Evaluate and implement ERP/operational systems to improve visibility and decision-making.
