Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Storage Customer Service Representative in Columbia, SC. You will work as part of a support team to be the face of U-Haul’s exceptional service, inspecting and maintaining equipment and assisting customers with dispatch and return using up-to-date technology. On-the-job education is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to maintain a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone.
• Ability to work on weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers using up-to-date technology to dispatch and return equipment.
• Answer phone inquiries from active and prospective customers.
• Show storage units, explain rental terms, and prepare rental contracts.
• Perform general routine property cleanup and minor repair work.
• Ensure vacant storage units are clean, dry, secure and available for new customers.
• Support the site manager with facility operations.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
