Job summary
GE Aerospace is seeking a Metrology Technician to join our turbine airfoils machining NPI team at the BladeworX facility. You will learn to operate and program inspection equipment and grow into an independent contributor, gaining deep expertise in dimensional inspection within a fast-paced NPI environment.
This hands-on role emphasizes learning GD&T concepts, blueprint reading, and CMM programming, with mentorship from the Senior Metrologist and Site Quality Leader as you progress.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or high school diploma required.
- Familiarity with GD&T and blueprint reading is a plus.
- Opportunity to learn CMM operations and programming.
Responsibilities
- Learn to operate, program, and maintain inspection equipment under guidance.
- Assist with weekly inspection equipment calibrations for accuracy and traceability.
- Support creation and revision of inspection programs for turbine airfoil parts.
- Troubleshoot inspection equipment issues and measurement non-conformances.
- Document inspection results, calibration records, and program changes.
- Collaborate with machining, engineering, and quality teams on NPI part qualification.
