Communication Data Link in Grimes, IA is seeking a dedicated Mechanic to grow with our shop. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance to keep vehicles in top condition, with training provided.

We value a proactive learner who can work with a team, handle preventive maintenance, and participate in DOT inspections. Competitive wages and full benefits are offered, with a schedule Monday–Friday and some flexibility during peak times.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn with solid knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify worn parts and perform diagnostic tests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and component upgrades, and maintain equipment readiness.
• Repair major assemblies and systems, and adjust/align components as needed.
• Verify vehicle performance with test drives and control adjustments.
• Maintain service records and document repairs and maintenance.
• Assist in DOT inspections and keep work area clean and organized.
• Keep inventory stocked and manage supplies and orders.
• Assist with vehicle pickups/deliveries as needed.
