Job summary

The Grove Health & Rehab Center in Jacksonville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily building upkeep, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and minor electrical tasks.

You will complete maintenance reports, respond to requests, ensure safety compliance, and help maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff in a long-term care setting. We offer competitive wages and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Motivated and dependable team player.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance including painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and minor electrical repairs.
• Complete maintenance reports and other required documentation.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
• Support additional maintenance duties as assigned.
