Job summary

ConnectOne Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to develop new business, underwrite, structure, and close commercial loans while managing an existing portfolio. You will participate in community engagement and market the bank’s products and services to clients.

Responsibilities include underwriting, pricing loans to maximize profitability, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations, while maintaining exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Strong People First orientation and ability.
• Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations.
• Credit training and underwriting capability.
• Thorough understanding of commercial and/or real estate lending processes.
• Familiarity with loan documentation and bank security practices.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, on-the-job experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Source, develop and underwrite new loans for new and existing clients.
• Underwrite, structure, and close commercial loans and lines of credit.
• Review loan terms and pricing to optimize bank profitability.
• Present credits for approval to appropriate authority levels.
• Ensure transactions comply with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and service the loan portfolio from cradle to grave.
