Job summary

TitleMax in Troy, AL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support customers with financial services while gaining hands-on leadership experience in a retail setting.

You will drive account management, market services, and manage risk with a customer-first approach. This role requires strong communication, supervision experience, and the ability to work a full-time in-person schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
• At least 3 months supervisory or leadership experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with phones, POS system, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
• Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama).
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance; own vehicle for work-day use.
• Background checks required by law.
• Must meet physical demands (standing long periods, move up to 25 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Maximize customer success by offering financial services that fit their needs.
• Assess risk of financial transactions and process loan/pawn applications, check cashing and related products.
• Complete daily call campaigns to market services and build new business.
• Oversee account management and recovery processes with a focus on customer service.
• Maintain customer information in the POS system with accuracy.
• Provide coaching to Customer Service Representatives as needed.
• Perform on-site duties such as vehicle appraisals and store errands.
• Support leadership in hosting in-store and community events.
• Manage opening/closing procedures and cash handling with vault control.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and laws; assist audits and reporting.
• Maintain store appearance and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Adapt to fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Fulfill additional duties as directed by leadership.
• Maintain a full-time in-person schedule, including weekends (40+ hours).
