Job summary

American Driveway is looking for an Accountant/Bookkeeper to support rapid growth in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare and maintain the financial records that fuel our expansion and report to the Chief Operations Officer. The role offers a salary range of $60,000–$65,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills in verbal and written form.
Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
Knowledge of financial and cost accounting.
Understanding of GAAP and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Monthly Financial Reporting — Assist in preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and assigned financial reports.
Accounts Payable Management — Maintain AP and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper coding.
Invoice & Account Reconciliation — Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and support monthly closing and journal entries.
Bank Reconciliation — Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and resolve bank inquiries.
Cash & Customer Account Oversight — Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and manage AR collections.
Invoice Payment Processing — Verify and complete AP payments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Year‑End 1099 Management — Oversee and distribute all 1099 documentation.
Expense & Invoicing Processes — Manage expense reimbursements and invoicing workflows.
Accounting Standards Compliance — Maintain knowledge of accepted accounting practices and procedures.
Additional Duties — Support the finance team with related tasks as needed.
