Job summary

American Textile Recycling Service is seeking an Accountant / Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities and support monthly closes. The ideal candidate will have strong GAAP knowledge and experience with QuickBooks, Excel, and payroll systems, working independently while collaborating with management.

Qualifications

Experience with monthly closes and financial statement prep.
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts.
Process loan payments and maintain loan balances.
Intercompany billing and reconciliation.
Payroll transactions and related entries.
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
