Job summary

CFS is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant in Bakersfield, CA to grow your accounting career with hands-on experience across the accounting function. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, assist with month-end close, and support AP/AR while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, with at least 1 year of accounting experience (internships welcome). The role offers mentorship, career growth, and exposure to multiple accounting areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ years of accounting experience (internship experience considered).

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Help prepare financial statements and internal reports.
• Analyze variances and assist with budget tracking.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP.
