Job summary

New Directions Mental Health, a member of Transformations Care Network, seeks licensed mental health therapists to empower clients in behavioral health. The role emphasizes collaborative care, supervision, and opportunities to expand licensure.

A supportive clinical team and development-focused environment are provided. Therapists will conduct assessments, deliver outpatient therapy, and participate in care planning and case conferences.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field.
• Provisional license per state regulation may be required.
• Educational background that leads to or has resulted in professional licensing.
• Passionate about mental health and committed to providing high-quality care.
• Ongoing professional development including supervision and continuing education.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care.
• Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• Ability to manage time and complete documentation efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families.
• Provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy based on client needs.
• Develop crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans.
• Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning.
• Ensure timely billing, documentation, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms.
• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and other staff.

Education

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or related field

Educational background leading to professional licensing

Excellent communication skills

Ethical practice and confidentiality

Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team
