Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education is hiring an energized Assistant Director of Dining Services at the University of Houston. You will lead the day‑to‑day dining operations, manage a team, and drive profitability while maintaining excellent client relationships.

We seek candidates with 1–3 years of supervisory food service experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a solid grasp of MS Office. This on‑campus role offers growth within a diverse organization and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of food service supervisory or lead experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen skills.
• Proficient computer skills and MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet).
• Associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day‑to‑day food service operations of a dining hall on campus.
• Manage and lead a team of associates, with talent development and client relationships in mind.
• Support profitability and financial goals in an assigned area.
