Job summary

Zymo Research seeks a Sr. Manager of Performance Marketing & Digital Growth to define and execute our paid media strategy. You will own Google Ads, paid social, SEO/AEO, and measurement, while guiding a direct report and collaborating with Marketing, Content, and Tech teams.

You will build the performance engine across digital channels, ensuring reliable data, budget stewardship, and cross-channel alignment with business goals. This role is onsite in California.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience owning digital channel strategy, performance marketing, or growth marketing.
• Deep hands-on Google Ads, including search campaign architecture, bidding, and tracking.
• Proven ability to set paid search and digital performance strategy with ROI metrics.
• Experience managing paid media budgets with ROI, CPA, CPL, ROAS, or similar metrics.
• Strong analytical judgment to diagnose performance across targeting, keywords, and landing pages.
• Understanding of how paid and organic channels work together to drive acquisition.
• Experience using dashboards and analytics to inform recommendations.
• Clear communication translating data into guidance for leadership.
• 2+ years leading at least one direct report or contractor.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy and performance for paid digital channels (Google Ads, paid social, YouTube, display).
• Lead SEO and AEO strategy in partnership with content and web teams.
• Develop insights, reporting, and optimization plans across channels.
• Collaborate with analytics, CRM, and web teams to ensure reliable tracking.
• Manage one direct report and align with cross-functional teams to meet goals.
