Job summary

Byron is seeking its first dedicated in-house marketing hire to turn what's working into a repeatable engine. You will own events, webinars, SEO and the website, and partner directly with the CEO and the go-to-market team with real budget and authority over how Byron appears in the market.

You will craft a scalable events program, scale the webinar stream, optimize site structure and landing pages for tax professionals, and own content and social, with disciplined testing of paid channels.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in B2B software growth or demand-gen marketing, including hands-on work at an early-stage company.
  • Owned events end to end and can share your best, most creative and successful events to-date.
  • Hands-on SEO and website experience: you can structure a site, brief or build landing pages, and read the analytics without waiting on anyone.
  • Strong writer. Our buyers are partners at accounting firms, and copy that reads like marketing loses them.
  • Resourceful as a team of one: good judgment about what to do yourself, what to hand to an agency, and what to skip entirely.
  • Experience marketing to accountants, finance, legal, or another professional-services audience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the events program: choose conferences, run presence there from booth to speaking slots to dinners, and track every event to the pipeline it produced.
  • Scale the webinar program: make it a machine and one of our best channels.
  • Take over SEO and the website: site structure, landing pages, and content that ranks for tax professionals’ searches.
  • Run content and social: case studies, announcements, LinkedIn, and copy written by someone who understands a tax practice.
  • Test paid channels with discipline: clear hypotheses, honest readouts, quick iterations.

Job description

Byron builds AI agents for tax preparation. CPA firms use Byron to process source documents, build workpapers, and move finished work into the tax software they already run, with the accountant in the loop at every step. We're a seed-stage, venture-backed team building for every serious tax practice in the country, from 50-person firms to the Top 100.

About the role

You will be Byron's first dedicated in-house marketing hire. Demand today comes from industry events, webinars, and word of mouth inside the accounting profession. Your job is to turn what's working into a repeatable engine, fix what's missing (starting with SEO and the website), and own the channel mix end to end. You'll work directly with the CEO and the go-to-market team, with real budget and real authority over how we show up in the market.

What you'll do
  • Own the events program: choose the conferences worth our money, run our presence there from booth to speaking slots to dinners, and track every event to the pipeline it produced.
  • Scale the webinar program: it's already one of our best-performing channels, and it should be a machine.
  • Take over SEO and the website: site structure, landing pages, and content that ranks for what tax professionals actually search for.
  • Run content and social: case studies, announcements, a steady drumbeat on LinkedIn, and copy written by someone who understands how a tax practice runs.
  • Test paid channels with discipline: clear hypotheses, honest readouts, quick kills.
What we're looking for
  • 4+ years in B2B software growth or demand-gen marketing, including time at an early-stage company where you did the work yourself.
  • You've owned events end to end and can walk us through your best most creative and successful events to-date.
So is curiosity about a technical buyer.
Why Byron
  • Ground floor: a small, senior team with backgrounds across Amazon's AI groups, Big 4 tax, and top consulting firms.
  • A market that wants the product: the accounting profession is short on people and long on work, and firms are actively looking for help.
  • Competitive salary, early-stage equity, and benefits, with real ownership from day one and direct access to the founders.
