Job summary

BAO Consulting Group is seeking a Director of Business Development to own and grow a pipeline of middle-market and PE-backed clients across CFO advisory and finance transformation services. This is a hunter role—you will prospect, cultivate, and close.

You know the CFO advisory space, you have relationships, and you are ready to put them to work inside a firm that actually delivers. You will own a full-cycle BD pipeline, identify new client opportunities, and build a high-value referral network

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of BD, sales, or client development in professional services.
• Proven track record of generating and closing new business in B2B services.
• Existing relationships with CFOs, Controllers, PE sponsors, or finance executives in TX market.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage a full-cycle BD pipeline from outreach through engagement letter.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue net new client opportunities (PE-backed, founder-owned, middle-market CFO organizations).
• Build and maintain a high-value referral network including PE sponsors, investment banks, M&A attorneys, and accounting partners.
• Collaborate with BAO leaders to develop tailored proposals, pitch decks, and scopes of work.
• Represent BAO at industry events, conferences, and networking forums in Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston.
• Maintain CRM hygiene and pipeline reporting; provide weekly updates to leadership.
• Partner with Chief Growth Officer to refine go-to-market messaging and targeting strategy.
• Support marketing efforts including content, case studies, and social presence.
