Job summary

Sellars Absorbent Materials, Inc. in Milwaukee seeks a hands-on financial leader to drive accounting and finance strategy across the organization. You will lead the finance team, strengthen financial performance, safeguard assets, and ensure accurate reporting.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, 5+ years in accounting management in manufacturing, and preferably an MBA, CPA, or CMA. This role offers robust benefits and a path to a strategic leadership position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related coursework.
• 5+ years of experience in Accounting Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• MBA, CPA, and/or CMA certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly financial closing and reporting process.
• Drive process improvements and leverage automation to improve department efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare financial reports and related disclosures for executive management and the Board of Directors.
• Report daily cash position, prepare Borrowing Base Certificate for bank.
• Lead all external audit processes (Year-end accounting, bank, insurance, and sales tax).
• Manages bi‑weekly payroll including processing financial and reporting forms as required by State agencies.
• Lead annual preparation of the budget.
• Develop, implement and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations and legal requirements as it relates to accounting functions.
• Manage the work of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable personnel.
• Prepare schedules as requested for compilation of corporate income tax and Sales/Use tax returns.
• Work directly with accounting/audit firm, and do research necessary to ensure reports are prepared/presented in accordance with GAAP.
