Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an Renewal Underwriter in Scottsdale to manage day‑to‑day underwriting for assigned accounts. You will review applications, assess risk factors such as property value and location, and support decisions on coverage.

You will collaborate with an Underwriter/Broker Senior to ensure timely renewals and service delivery. You will stay organized, track work, and help drive renewal progress, while maintaining high service standards and constructive communication with field

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to review information, weigh risk details, and explain decisions clearly.
• Ability to ask clear follow-up questions and collaborate with field partners.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to handle broad assignments and bring original thinking.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day underwriting and service work for assigned accounts.
• Review applications, assess property value, location, use and safety features to inform risk decisions.
• Explain underwriting choices confidently to stakeholders.
