Job summary

Tenvoorde Ford is seeking a skilled Quick Lane Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles. You will coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure parts are available and road test to verify repairs.

You will promote a professional dealership image, meet productivity goals, and pursue Ford Technician certifications as part of ongoing growth. A 40-hour week and teamwork are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Proficiency in the use of common mechanic shop tools, equipment and computer software
• Must be a “team player”
• Must be reliable and on time

• Ability to learn from veteran staff and foreman

• Use of your personal cell phone to share photos and videos of recommended repairs with various applications.

• Proficiency in use of basic computer and phone systems
• Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles.
• Prioritizes and plans work flow with manager to meet demands and customer needs.
• Coordinates with Part Department to ensure parts are available to complete repairs.
• Completes service and repair assignments correctly to pass quality inspections or test drives.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly.
• Suggests additional work that is needed to the Service Advisor so the customer may be notified.
• Assists Service Advisors, if necessary, to explain completed repairs to a customer.
• Promotes dealership by presenting professional image, positive attitude, and clean work area.
• Meets or exceeds productivity and quality goals.
• Obtain and maintain Ford Technician certifications
• May do other types of repairs and maintenance depending on work demand.
