Aston Carter is seeking a Director of Finance in Franklin, TN to join its executive leadership team. This role oversees financial, accounting, administrative, risk, and insurance functions for a project-based professional services environment.

The successful candidate will drive strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, partnering with ownership and leadership to support growth and scale initiatives. This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership position in a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
• Experience within project-based professional services environments.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic planning.
• Experience with KPIs, dashboards, and financial reporting tools.
• Projects accounting and profitability analysis knowledge.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to partner with executive leadership on strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and provide financial leadership.
• Partner with ownership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and performance.
• Develop reporting tools and KPIs to drive accountability across the organization.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting, cash flow, and audits.
• Manage payroll, HR-related financial processes, and risk management.
