Job summary

LHH in Conshohocken, PA seeks a Director of Construction Operations to lead project delivery, strengthen the operational infrastructure, and develop a high-performing team. This role oversees complex commercial projects, shaping processes and systems for scalable growth.

Responsibilities include leading multi-project delivery, improving cost controls, and ensuring safety and compliance, with a hybrid work model and monthly travel.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial construction project management experience, including leadership roles.
• Experience managing projects generally ranging from $20M to $75M+.
• Strong understanding of GMP, Cost-Plus, and CM-at-Risk delivery methods.
• Experience with institutional construction (K-12, higher education, municipal, healthcare, or similar large-scale projects).
• Proven ability to hire, develop, and lead construction teams.
• Knowledge of CPM scheduling, cost reporting, WIP, forecasting, and earned value analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Manage procurement, buyout, scheduling, budgeting, and cost forecasting.
• Maintain accountability for project financial performance and margins.
• Recruit, develop, and lead Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and other construction professionals.
• Establish standardized project delivery procedures and controls.
• Promote safety & compliance across all projects.
