Job summary

BIP Ventures is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Product Owner to join the Wealth Tech team in a growth-focused, execution-oriented capacity. This role supports backlog management, user-story writing, QA, and integration across multiple systems, collaborating with engineering and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in product development within software or fintech, with Jira expertise and a keen interest in AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

2 to 4 years of experience in product development, project coordination, or Agile/Scrum teams focusing on software, platform, or web-based products.
Experience in wealth management, fintech, or related analytical/tech role is a plus.
Jira is the primary tool; Confluence is a plus; familiarity with Rally or equivalent Agile platforms is acceptable.
AI fluency with tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar for prototyping and accelerating product workflows.
Comfortable with complex domains including wealth management, finance, or venture capital concepts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with engineers, stakeholders, and teammates.
Self-starter, proactive, and adaptable to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical skills to gather and interpret information for product decisions.
Exposure to third-party system integrations is a plus.
A bachelor's degree in business, CS, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Backlog support: maintain and prioritize the product backlog under senior guidance.
User story and release note writing with clear acceptance criteria.
Jira Service Desk management: triage, 24–48 hour SLA, escalation as needed.
Sprint participation: grooming and planning, keep backlog 1–2 sprints ahead.
QA and feature validation to ensure release-ready quality.
End-to-end delivery of small to medium features.
Stakeholder engagement: liaise between engineering and business stakeholders.
Manage multi-system requirements and third-party integrations.
Collect feedback during sprint reviews to refine backlog.
Create process flows, user guides, and internal documentation.
Assist in identifying AI opportunities to enhance workflows with engineering.
