Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts in Canyonville, OR is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to apply automotive knowledge, customer service, and leadership to operate our retail store. This role supports the Store Manager across all store functions while maintaining active customer-facing sales responsibilities and ensuring store continuity.

You will supervise daily operations, assist with scheduling and inventory, coach team members, and contribute to safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or trade school courses or degree completion.
• Experience in the automotive after-market service industry or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience.
• Passion for delivering customer care and building long term relationships.
• Thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs in some situations.
• Experience in a parts store, automotive or related retail management.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• NAPA Know How.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales, inventory, and labor.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across channels.
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Oversee opening and closing routines and related cash reporting.
• Support administrative tasks and performance tracking.
• Monitor core store metrics and problem-solve for solutions.
• Provide leadership, coaching and talent development.
• Drive adherence to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
