Aston Carter is hiring an Accounting Specialist in Odessa, FL to support core accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and monthly reporting. The role manages collections, processes domestic and international banking transactions, and collaborates with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate, timely financial information.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in bookkeeping, AP, AR, or collections.
• Experience with PO-to-invoice matching and reconciliations.
• Experience with AR processes including billing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Understanding accrual accounting policies and practices.

Responsabilités

• Maintain AR processing: posting, aging monitoring, reconciliations.
• Manage collections: follow-ups on past-due accounts and status updates to leadership.
• Oversee AP: match POs to invoices, ensure documentation, perform reconciliations.
• Process domestic and international banking transactions (ACH, wires).
• Identify inefficient processes and help implement improvements.
• Contribute to monthly reporting with reconciliations and financial reports.
• Provide auditors with documentation and schedules for annual review.
• Perform additional reconciliations and accounting research as needed.
• Collaborate with finance and other teams to support operations.
