Job summary

Aston Carter in Odessa, FL is actively seeking an entry level Accountant to join our growing team. You will gain hands‑on experience across AP, AR, reconciliations, and reporting while supporting banking operations and audits.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and offers exposure to multiple accounting areas, with room for growth in a family‑run business environment. This is a full‑time, onsite position in Odessa, Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Recent graduates encouraged to apply!)
• Internship, co‑op, or entry‑level experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, AP, or AR
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accrual‑based accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Responsibilities

• Support Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, purchase order matching, and reconciliations
• Assist with Accounts Receivable functions, including billing, cash application, collections, and account maintenance
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past‑due accounts
• Prepare account reconciliations and assist with month‑end close activities
• Support monthly financial reporting and accounting analysis
• Process domestic and international ACH and wire transactions
• Assist in gathering documentation and schedules for external audits
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial records
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures

Are you a recent Accounting or Finance graduate looking to gain hands‑on experience across multiple areas of accounting? We're seeking an Accounting Specialist to join a growing organization that is expanding its international presence and investing in the development of its accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in accounting while working alongside experienced professionals and gaining exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, reporting, collections, and banking operations.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Odessa, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.

• 401K, employer match, healthcare insurance/dental/vision (Florida Blue), paid life insurance, PTO (11 days a year), 9 paid holidays with no waiting period.
