Job summary

YAP Media is seeking an Austin-based Short-form Content Strategist to lead social-first content for Hala Taha’s ecosystem, including Young and Profiting, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and related brand content.

You will turn long-form conversations and brand priorities into high-performing short-form video, guide editors and production teams, and drive growth with sharp hooks, clear calls-to-action, and platform-native packaging. On-site collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in social media or short-form video strategy.
• Proven ability to identify viral moments and shape hooks.
• Excellent writing for captions, clips, and platform-native formats.
• Austin-based with ability to work on-site multiple days per week.

Responsibilities

• Own short-form and social-first content strategy across multiple platforms.
• Identify strongest moments from episodes and brand moments for clips.
• Develop platform-native creative angles to avoid generic cutdowns.
• Direct edits with editors and production teams to meet timelines.
• Guide on-camera capture, pacing, captions, and visual packaging.
• Collaborate with leadership to align content with growth goals.
