Job summary

Amrize in Ravena, NY is seeking a Build For Growth Mechanical Engineer I to support plant operations and CBM programs. You will collaborate with equipment suppliers and plant staff to ensure reliable operation, and participate in preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis initiatives.

The candidate will join the 14‑month Build4Growth program offering blended learning across online sessions, on‑the‑job assignments, and projects designed to build foundational cement plant expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.
• Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field.
• Required Work Experience: 0-3 years
• Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Travel Requirements: 5%

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with equipment suppliers and plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant.
• Monitor reliability-based systems including preventative maintenance, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring.
• Create PMRs and BOMs for new equipment; manage PMR optimization and SAP integration.
• Perform root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, FMEA to eliminate repetitive problems.
• Support improvements in MTBF and reliability of major equipment.
• Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability.
• Coordinate SAP PMR optimization and development with maintenance planners.
• Provide technical training to maintenance team on reliability concepts.
