Stocks General Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations and oversee active civil construction projects, from contract award through final closeout. This role requires strong organization, proactive leadership, and a focus on scalable growth as the company expands.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil construction experience with direct project management.
• Ability to read, understand, and apply contracts, not just drawings.
• Strong job cost tracking, budget management, and forecasting.
• Proactive, highly organized with ownership of results.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from contract award through final closeout.
• Review contracts, scopes, schedules, milestones, notice requirements, and risk items.
• Set up projects with scope documents, budgets, schedules, permits, and handoff to field leadership.
• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for client project managers, construction managers, and owner's representatives.
• Prepare, submit, track, and follow up on pay applications and change orders.
• Identify changed conditions and pursue proper change order recovery.
• Coordinate with the General Superintendent on crew scheduling and subcontractors.
• Review daily field reports and respond to field escalations and safety concerns.
• Track job costs, production, variances, and upcoming pay applications.
• Provide weekly project status updates and operational reporting.
• Manage project closeout, punch lists, and final documentation.
