Job summary

Caribou Coffee is seeking an Assistant General Manager to develop future leaders and drive store growth. In partnership with the General Manager, you will lead operations, coach teams, and elevate guest experiences while aligning with Caribou’s purpose.

This growth role focuses on strategic thinking about the store and district, emphasizes problem solving, P&L awareness, and culture. The AGM will learn quickly, stay curious, and contribute to community impact.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of restaurant/retail experience with strong customer service
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership by guiding Team Members and Shift Leaders with enthusiasm and excellence
• Develops business understanding to the level of a General Manager over the course of a year
• Fosters an environment of connection, joy, and real customer relationships
• Leads with speed and service to meet sales goals
• Resolves problems calmly and to understand root causes for sustainable change
• Connects daily tasks to overall business success and P&L awareness
• Maintains cash-handling policies and store funds on shift
• Manages orders, inventory, waste control, and rotation of stock
• Cultivates a growth mindset and willingness to learn and receive feedback
• Aligns daily actions with Caribou brand values and company-wide goals
