Job summary

Taylor White is seeking a driven Assistant Controller to join a growing manufacturing organization in the Greater Tampa Bay area. This hands-on finance leader will partner with the Controller and senior leadership to shape financial strategy while managing a small team in a fast-moving, lean environment.

The role offers up to $130,000 plus bonus potential, with a fully onsite work setup. Ideal candidates have 6–8 years of accounting management experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 6–8 years accounting management experience.
• Manufacturing background strongly preferred.
• Experience leading full month-end close and reporting.
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
• Strong ERP/financial systems experience.
• Hands-on working manager in a lean team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting function and financial reporting.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Support annual audit with external auditors.
• Provide financial analysis for contract negotiations.
• Ensure tax and regulatory compliance.
• Set department goals and procedures.
• Participate in leadership team planning.
• Identify process improvements from audits.
• Guide financial systems strategy.
• Mentor a small accounting/finance team.
