Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Data Engineer embedded in Growth to build the data foundation behind marketing measurement and growth flywheels. You will design and operate pipelines unifying paid, owned, and organic data with in-platform user behavior, and collaborate with Marketing, Data Science, and Product.

You will own MMM data, build attribution datasets, and define shared metrics. You will mentor engineers and ensure privacy-aligned measurement across Roblox’s ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience as a data engineer or data-focused software engineer building scalable batch and streaming pipelines.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster or similar) and large-scale data processing (Spark, Flink, Kafka or similar).
• Strong data modeling skills for dimensional or event-based models.
• Experience with collaborating with business and data science partners to create durable data products.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, testing and monitoring of data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate reliable batch and streaming pipelines unifying marketing data with in-platform user behavior.
• Own the data foundation for MMM and analytics-ready datasets.
• Partner with Marketing and Data Science to define shared metrics and data products.
• Architect event taxonomies and logging standards across product surfaces.
• Integrate with ad channels, mobile measurement partners, and third-party sources.
• Set standards for data quality, observability, and documentation.
• Support experimentation and incrementality work with joinable data for analyses.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across data teams to leverage shared tooling.
• Ensure measurement respects user privacy and aligns with community values.
