Job summary

Roblox Corporation seeks an Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team building data systems that turn raw signals into trustworthy, privacy-safe, actionable data across core data infrastructure, identity, measurement, audience targeting, and ML features.

You will set a multi-quarter technical roadmap, hire and mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, data science, privacy/legal, and Ads teams to align engineering work with business goals while ensuring reliability and scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years managing engineers.
• Experience delivering large-scale distributed data systems, data pipelines, streaming/batch processing.
• Strong foundation in identity resolution, ad measurement/attribution, audience targeting, or ML feature pipelines.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of data privacy principles and regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA).

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of software engineers, handling hiring, performance, and career development.
• Set a multi-quarter technical roadmap across core data, identity, measurement, targeting, and ML platforms.
• Collaborate with product, data science, privacy/legal, and Ads teams to translate goals into engineering plans.
• Raise quality bar for system design, data correctness, reliability, and operational excellence at scale.
• Champion privacy-by-design and responsible data handling as a first-class requirement.
• Represent the team to senior leadership and communicate risk and progress clearly.
