The role’s single job is to turn our ads machine into something that works, delivering performance creative that explains Clay clearly and gets the product into more customers’ hands, while challenging what “good” looks like in performance advertising.

This is a 0 to 1 role with no existing playbook or rules for success.

Qualifications

• Experience creating paid creative for startups or high-growth teams.
• Portfolio of ads or short-form work.
• Hands-on experience with AI production tools.
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Make performance creative that works: concept, produce, and ship ads across paid channels, owning the creative from idea to delivery.
• Explain the product: turn Clay into ads that are clear and memorable.
• Know the landscape: track what's working in ads and bring new formats and inspiration to the team.
• Challenge the status quo: test formats and ideas outside the standard playbook.
• Communicate constantly: coordinate with the New York team and provide clear updates.
